Exploration Permit WA-401-P was acquired from Gerald Nelson in May 2008 and was transferred to Woodside and Hess on 19 April 2010. The permit is located in the prolific Carnarvon Basin 260km off the coast of northwestern Australia and within 40km of the giant Io / Jansz field and the recent Chandon-1 gas discovery. Exploration Permit WA-404-P, which has a work commitment of 9 wells is located directly to the northeast of WA-401-P.
