Our Environment Vision

“To ‘CLIME’ to better environment outcomes for our activities”

At Finder we are firmly committed to the protection of the natural environment and our corporate policy is to conduct our petroleum activities in a conscientious manner, taking due regard of critical environmental issues.

To further reinforce Finder’s commitment to environmental protection, the following strategies have been formulated:

Create awareness among all employees and contractors of the importance of identified sensitive environmental conditions in the areas of operations;

Liaise with government environmental organisations (and external parties as required) to help promote the aims of environmental protection within the area of operations;

Instruct all staff on critical environmental issues for each project and ensure that procedures are implemented to minimise the disturbance of flora and fauna;

Monitor all field operations and ensure that all personnel comply with relevant legislation governing environmental protection; and

Ensure that all 3rd party personnel and companies performing tasks on behalf of Finder comply with local and international regulations for waste disposal.

We believe that environmental stewardship is both a management obligation and the responsibility of every employee and to achieve the environment strategy outcomes we will:

  • Proactively pursue the identification of all hazards and eliminate or, if not possible, manage the risk to as low as reasonably practicable;
  • Ensure that we have the resources and skills necessary, or engage external professionals in the field, to achieve our environmental commitments;
  • Implement strategies to minimise pollution, manage waste effectively, use water and energy efficiently and address relevant cultural heritage and biodiversity issues;
  • Require that companies providing contract services to Finder manage their environmental performance to meet our environmental expectations; and
  • As a minimum comply with relevant legal and other requirements.
