Finder has built a successful business by focusing on de-risking prospective acreage predominantly on the North West Shelf of Australia by delivering opportunities through our people using their knowledge, leveraging data & technology. Finder currently has interests in 16 Australian exploration permits predominantly offshore north-western Australia (of which we operate 9) covering a total of ~48,850 km² plus a significant acreage holding in the province of Alberta in Canada.
To date Finder has participated in five exploration wells, delivering the Olympus and Roc gas fields, the Phoenix South oil field (arguably the most significant oil discovery on the North West Shelf in the past 25 years) plus the encouraging results for the Canning Basin resource play from the Theia-1 exploration well. In the next few weeks we will spud the Hyde-1 exploration well in the Northern Carnarvon Basin with subsequent drilling in the Browse Basin (Cronus-1) and further Canning Basin activity.
Shane’s promotion has also provided the opportunity to realign management roles and responsibilities to better meet the commercial drivers in the current challenging industry conditions.
Finder’s revised management structure is summarised below:
Shane Westlake as Chief Executive Officer
Craig M. Gumley as Manager – Offshore Australia
Dariusz Jablonski as Manager – New Ventures
Ryan Taylor – Walshe as Manager – Onshore Australia & Canada
Aaron Bond as Manager – Geoscience
I have enjoyed my time as Managing Director of Finder during the last ten years and would personally like to thank everyone involved with this journey and wish everyone a prosperous 2016.
